Teenager Stabbed Outside Sloane Square Station in Daylight Incident

A 15-year-old boy was stabbed outside Sloane Square Underground station in Chelsea on Monday afternoon, leaving the typically tranquil area shocked by the violence. The incident occurred just before 3:30 pm on Lower Sloane Street, an upmarket area where property prices soar, with flats costing as much as £4.75 million. The teenager, wearing his school uniform, suffered a stab wound to his side and was later transported to a major trauma centre by the London Ambulance Service (LAS).
Witnesses described the unsettling scene, recounting how the boy clutched his side, visibly in pain, while on his mobile phone. He was reportedly swearing and explaining that he had just been stabbed, as other students nearby ran towards the Underground station entrance. Nearby onlookers, concerned for their safety, moved away from the area as the situation unfolded.

Another bystander shared that they saw a man running from the scene, throwing what appeared to be a machete under a parked car as he fled. “He ran past us and threw what looked like a machete under a Porsche nearby,” they said. “It seemed to be in a leather case, which he had pulled from his waistband as he ran by.” Shortly afterwards, police arrived and began pursuing the suspect.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed they responded to the scene but have yet to make any arrests. In a statement, they reported, “Officers and the London Ambulance Service (LAS) attended and found who they believe to be a 15-year-old boy suffering from a stab injury. He has been taken to hospital, where his condition was assessed as not life-threatening or life-changing.”
In the aftermath, Transport for London (TfL) temporarily closed Sloane Square station, and bus routes 11 and 211 were diverted to make way for emergency services. An LAS spokesperson elaborated on the response, noting, “We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, an advanced paramedic, and an incident response officer. London’s Air Ambulance was also dispatched, and we treated a teenager at the scene before taking them to a major trauma centre.”
