Bitcoin Bull Market Approaches Final Stages: Experts Caution Investors

The Bitcoin bull market, which kicked off in January 2023, is reportedly nearing its peak, according to data analytics firm CryptoQuant. Investors are advised to proceed with caution as the market enters its later stages, potentially culminating in early to mid-2025. This insight aligns with historical patterns of cyclical peaks in the cryptocurrency market and reflects growing caution among industry experts.

Recent data from CryptoQuant reveals that, in late 2024, Bitcoin transactions involving coins held for less than one month surged to 36%. This figure is reminiscent of previous crypto market tops and suggests that the Bitcoin bull market cycle is heading toward its apex. While expectations remain high for further gains in Bitcoin and altcoins, CryptoQuant warns that conservative risk management is essential at this stage.

In contrast, many analysts remain bullish, predicting a record-breaking 2025. Asset manager VanEck projects that Bitcoin could hit $180,000, with Ethereum trading above $6,000 by the end of next year. Similarly, Steno Research anticipates 2025 to be crypto’s most lucrative year yet, with potential for all-time highs across major coins.

Adding weight to these forecasts, traders on platforms like Polymarket and Kalshi predict significant growth in cryptocurrency adoption, including the potential approval of new crypto exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and the establishment of a U.S. Bitcoin reserve.
